2021年12月現在、人里離れた場所にある青景村では新型コロナウイルス感染症の感染者は今のところ出ていません。しかし、ご近所さん同士が顔を合わせたり会話をしたりする機会が減っており、人の顔が見えづらくなっています。今後、当面は同じような状況が続き、いつかこうした風景が当たり前のものなってくるかもしれません。
青景村の集会所では高齢者向けの「スマホ・パソコン学習会」を定期開催しています。既に第４０回の開催を超え、デジタル化された後期高齢者がインスタグラムやラインを駆使して対外的な発信を始めています。ポストコロナ時代を生きる限界集落やデジタル機器に不慣れな方々が少しでもデジタルアレルギーをなくすことができるよう、今後このような活動が日本や世界各地で広がることを期待しています。

As of December 2021, there have been no cases of the COVID-19 infection in the village of Aokage. However, it has been changing the way how the villagers communicate with their neighbours as one can see this everywhere in the world.
In the village, voluntary-based Smartphone and PC master courses have been held 41 times since 28 Jan 2020. Nowadays, the digitalised “old-old” have a good command of social media such as Instagram, LINE and other channels. This social experiment using digital platforms will present a possibility how the older generation in remote areas can deal with the lack of communication during “post-corona” time.
